May 18th, 2013 - Jon Mitchell raced to his second and biggest win of the 2013 season on Saturday night with a $2,500 victory with the P&W Sales Southern United Professional Racers (SUPR) at Southern Oklahoma Speedway (Ardmore, Oklahoma) in his #5 Team 5 Enterprise/Mastersbilt Super Late Model.

A second place finish in his heat race positioned Jon starting second in the feature alongside pole-sitter, Tyler Erb. Mitchell battled in the top three until lap 25, when he overtook Rob Litton for the lead. Once out front Jon never looked back on his way to the victory, which came over Tyler Erb, Robbie Starnes, Patrik Daniel, and Zach McMillan.

1May 4th, 2013 - It was back to business with the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Super Late Models over the weekend with a doubleheader in Texas and Louisiana.

With $2,000 on the line for Friday night's show the tour rolled into the brand-new, Timberline Speedway (Corley, Texas) for an event that attracted an impressive field of thirty-eight entries to the 3/8 mile oval. Heat race struggles left Mitchell slipping to a fourth place finish, which sent him to a b-main event. He would claim the win in his b-main to lock into the seventeenth starting spot for the main event, but with passing being difficult he retired early to a 21st place finish.

Saturday evening found Team 5 Enterprise at Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, Louisiana) for another $2,000-to-win event as an even stouter field of forty-four Super Late Models crowded the pit area. Mitchell started the night by winning his heat race to lock into the fifth starting spot for the 35 lap finale. The team had high hopes for the feature, but unfortunately he would slide backwards to a twelfth place finish at the checkered flag.

Jon is thirteenth in the latest CCSDS standings. Full results from both events and complete standings are available at www.COMPCams.com.

April 27th, 2013 - With an off weekend from touring action Jon made the trip to Devil's Bowl Speedway (Mesquite, Texas) on Saturday night for a Weekly Racing Series Event in his #5 Team 5 Enterprise/Mastersbilt Super Late Model. He started the night with a fourth place finish in his heat race, but in the feature he raced his way to commanding feature win. Unfortunately issues with the scales after the race resulted in Mitchell being incorrectly disqualified for being too light. It was a frustrating situation for the team, but they will just move on to the next event.

1April 20th, 2013 - With another COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Super Late Model event falling victim to rain on Friday night with the $2,000-to-win program at Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Arkansas) getting washed away, Jon was finally able to open the 2013 CCSDS season on Saturday evening at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas).

Twenty-six Super Late Models entered the $2,500-to-win event, and it would prove to not be the best of nights for Mitchell. A fourth place finish in the first heat race locked Jon into the fourteenth starting spot for the 35 lap finale. Mitchell would unfortunately get a right-rear flat during the event's early stages, which forced him to retire to an 18th place finish. Full results from the event are available at www.COMPCams.com.

1April 13th, 2013 - Jon traveled to Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, Louisiana) on Saturday night as the track welcome the Super Late Model division back on a weekly basis. A strong field of twenty-one entries were on hand for the program and Mitchell started the night by blazing to fast time honors to earn a front row starting spot for the feature alongside pole sitter, Jeff Chanler. As the feature went green Chanler bolted to the lead on the cushion as Mitchell challenged him on the low side. During the race's middle stages Jon slipped to third before retaking the second spot as he again challenged Chanler for the lead. Mitchell would ultimately settle for a second place finish at the checkered flag. Full results from the event are available at www.BoothillSpeedway.org.

1April 6th, 2013 - With Mother Nature wreaking havoc over the past month Jon Mitchell has been sitting idle, but on Saturday night he was finally able to return to action as he traveled to Lone Star Speedway (Kilgore, Texas) for a $10,000-to-win, Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) event at the 3/8 mile oval.

Thirty-nine Super Late Models converged on the oval, which was left heavy and rough from rain throughout the week. Heat race action found Mitchell only managing a seventh place finish, which left him starting deep in a b-main. In the b-main Jon finished fifth, but with only the top three cars moving onto the feature his event came to an early end. Full results from the event are available at www.LucasDirt.com.

1March 9th, 2013 - Team 5 Enterprise traveled to Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, Louisiana) over the weekend for the 3rd Annual Pelican 100. The $10,000-to-win event attracted a field of forty-seven Super Late Models to the 1/4 mile oval, and after a solid qualifying effort Mitchell started second in his heat race, but would jump the berm in his heat race, while battling at the front of the pack. He brought out the caution and rejoined the tail of the field before finishing ninth. His heat race finish left him starting deep in a b-main on Saturday night, and Mitchell actually charged into a transfer spot before contact with another competitor eliminated him from contention as his weekend came to an early end. Full results are available at www.ArkLaTexSpeedway.com.

1March 2nd, 2013 - Jon opened his 2013 season on Saturday night at The Dirt Track at Texas Motor Speedway (Justin, Texas) during the annual Port-A-Cool Texas World Dirt Track Championship. Thirty-nine Super Late Models registered for action in the P&W Sales Southern United Professional Racers (SUPR) sanctioned event. A big number at the pill draw left Mitchell starting ninth in the third heat race, and after advancing to a sixth place finish he was forced to run a b-main, where he started fifth. With the top four cars transferring to the feature Jon slipped to a sixth place finish. Despite not earning a transfer spot to the feature Mitchell received a series' provisional to start at the tail of the field. Unfortunately his bad luck for the day wasn't finished yet as a broken, rocker arm in the motor forced him to retire early from the feature to a nineteenth place finish.
