Jon Mitchell makes DIRTcar Summer Nationals start at Old No.1 Speedway
A Tuesday evening trip to Harrisburg, Arkansas, was on the docket for Jon Mitchell during Fourth of July week.
At the quarter-mile Old No. 1 Speedway, he was one of 42 DIRTcar Late Model competitors vying for a $10,000 top prize as the Hell Tour made its first trip to Arkansas.
After recording the 12th-quickest time in his qualifying group, Mitchell finished 10th in his heat race. He rolled off 24th in the 40-lap feature and picked up eight spots to record a 16th-place finish.
