Mitchell suffers flat at Ark-La-Tex Speedway

Jon Mitchell returned to the driver’s seat of his Healthcare Express No. 5 Limited Modified on Friday after at Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, La.) for the ninth annual Mike Parker Memorial.

With a pair of heat race leading up to the main event on Saturday, Jon followed up an eighth-to-fourth run in his first round with an eight-lap heat race victory in his second heat.

Transferring into the B-Main on Saturday, Mitchell secured his spot into the main event with a consolation win. Starting in 10th, Jon was running in fifth on the white flag when he blew a tire. He was credited with a 12th-place finish.
