Mitchell bags fifth win of the season at Texarkana

Thursday night saw Jon Mitchell return with the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Ark.) for the Rockabilly 45. With 27 Late Models entered, Jon posted a third-place finish in his heat, which positioned him 10th on the starting grid for the opening night feature. With $5,000 on the line, Mitchell was an early retiree from the 45-lapper on lap 22.

The following night at Texarkana 67 Speedway (Texarkana, Ark.) in his Crate Late Model, Mitchell bested Jamie Burford in his heat before cruising to his fifth win of the season in the feature. He topped Burford, Jarret Stuckey, Clayton Stuckey, and Barron Prince at the line.
