Jon Mitchell Attends Comp Cams Doubleheader at Legit Speedway Park

After more than a two-month hiatus due to the ongoing Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, Jon Mitchell returned to action on Saturday night at Legit Speedway Park (West Plains, Mo.) for the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) doubleheader. With 49 cars on hand for the Missouri Hardwoods Back to the Future 50, Jon edged his way into the opening night feature with the third and final transfer spot in his heat race. On Sunday for the West Plains Resaw Back to Business 30, Mitchell recorded the 11th fastest time in his qualifying group before placing seventh in his heat. Needing a second place finish or better in his B-Main to make the $9,000-to-win A-Main, Jon fell short with a 11th place outing.
