Early exit from Cajun Clash at Ark-La-Tex Speedway

Friday night found Jon Mitchell in action in the Modified ranks at Ark-LA-Tex Speedway (Vivian, La.) for the eighth annual Cajun Clash. Drawing 42 United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) entries, Mitchell posted a fourth place finish in his heat race, transferring him into the B-Main for another shot at the $3,000-to-win A-Main. Streaking to a 12-lap consolation victory, Jon earned the 13th-starting position for the show. Running into trouble in the final 10 laps, Mitchell was an early retiree from the 40-lapper on lap 34.
